Bulletproof Coffee 3 Ways: Budget style, Most delicious, Protein style
Bulletproof coffee has become all the rage these days. And for a good reason. Basically bulletproof coffee is a coffee blended with fat-most commonly butter. If you’re eating a low carb or Keto diet, fat is a main part of your diet and bulletproof coffee is a great way to get fat in daily. Plus it’s delicious.

The truth of the matter is, you don’t really need a “recipe” for bulletproof coffee. Take your coffee and add fat until it tastes good to you. People use butter, mct oil, collagen, coconut oil, cream and more. The possibilities are endless.
Today, I’m giving you bulletproof coffee 3 ways-budget style (this is how I started), the most delicious (but more expensive) and protein style (with caramel-y protein powder for an added punch).
Bulletproof Coffee Budget Style
When I first started Keto, I stuck to the basics. I knew I loved coffee and I figured I could just add good fats to start my day. And to avoid buying expensive ingredients, I just used what I already had at home. Also all of the ingredients for this can be purchased at Aldi-which is my budget store of choice.
Recipe:
12-16oz of coffee (any flavor)
1 TBSP of coconut oil
1-2 TBSP of butter
1 TBSP of heavy cream (optional)
1 tea of sweetener (I use erythritol)
Blend all ingredients together with an immersion blender, mini frother or blender that is safe for hot liquids and enjoy.
Bulletproof Coffee: Most Delicious
After about a month and a half of enjoying my bulletproof coffee budget style, I started to get bored with it. I also started seeing loads of people on Facebook and Instagram adding collagen to their morning coffee, and boasting benefits of softer skin and hair, reduced joint pain as well as stronger hair and nails. So I decided to try it. I did some research and found Perfect Keto collagen. The Perfect Keto collagen blends easy, has no icky aftertaste and includes mct oil and stevia which means no need to add extra ingredients like sweetener or coconut oil. This recipe uses the vanilla flavor-think of a creamy, frothy, slightly sweet vanilla latte and that is what you get with this recipe.
Recipe:
12-16oz of coffee (any flavor)
1 Scoop of Perfect Keto Vanilla Collagen (get it here)
1 TBSP of butter
1 TBSP of heavy cream (optional)
Blend all ingredients together with an immersion blender, mini frother or blender that is safe for hot liquids and enjoy.
Bulletproof Coffee: Protein Style
I use bulletproof coffee as my first meal of the day and then eat my “lunch” or second meal once I get hungry-which is usually around 1 pm (after coffee at 7:30 am). If I’m working out heavily or find myself being hungry earlier in the day, I switch over to this protein style bulletproof coffee. This recipe uses protein powder and the added protein helps me stay fuller longer. The recipe calls for half a scoop of protein powder, but you can always increase to a full scoop if you need more protein. You can use any flavor of protein powder, but I highly recommend using Quest salted caramel protein powder. It is low in net carbs and makes your regular bulletproof coffee taste like a caramel-y latte style treat.
Recipe:
12-16oz of coffee (any flavor)
1-2 TBSP of butter
1 TBSP of heavy cream
1/2 scoop of Quest Salted Caramel Protein Powder (get it here)
Blend all ingredients together with an immersion blender, mini frother or blender that is safe for hot liquids and enjoy.
